In­vit­a­tion to ap­ply for com­munity grants

Applications for Landsbankinn’s community grants are now open.

Each year we award community grants from Landsbankinn’s Community Fund in the total amount of ISK 20 million. Community grants are intended as support for a range of projects, including humanitarian organisations, projects in the fields of education, research and science, in culture and the arts, preventative measures and youth activities. The Fund also supports initiatives in the field of sustainability.

A dedicated panel of external professionals reviews the applications and ensures that the process is transparent and professional.

The deadline for application is 31 October 2025.

In addition to community grants and scholarships, the Bank supports various projects and events that contribute to and encourage development and progress in Iceland. Among the events we support are Skólahreysti, Gulleggið and Reykjavík Pride. The Bank has also been a key supporter of the Football Association of Iceland for many years.

We have cancelled or lowered fees that apply to transactions in Landsbréf funds, making it even more favourable than before to invest in funds.

Latter dividend payment of 2025 made today
In accordance with the decision of its Annual General Meeting, Landsbankinn has today paid a dividend to its owners in the amount of ISK 9,446 million. As a result, total dividend paid by the Bank in the years 2013-2025 amounts to ISK 210.6 billion.

Dana Zaher El Deen K. Al Hennaw and Diana Al Barouki are the recipients of grants from Landsbankinn’s Hvatasjóður fund, rewarded in the form of scholarships for undergraduate studies at the University of Reykjavík (RU) in 2025-2026.

Change to close of business on banking days
As of 8 September 2025, the close of business on banking days for the deposit systems of the Icelandic Banks’ Data Centre (RB) will be set back from 21:00 to 24:00. This means that transactions such as transfers, carried out between 21:00 and 24:00, will be registered on the same day.
