Three nominations for Landsbankinn’s Euro Cup campaign

27 February 2026

Landsbankinn has received three nominations for Lúðurinn, the Icelandic Ad Awards, for 2025. Lúðurinn is hosted by ÍMARK, the Association of Icelandic Marketing Professionals, in collaboration with the Society of Icelandic Advertising Agencies. This is the 40th time the Lúðurinn awards are presented in Iceland.

The Bank’s Women’s Euro Cup campaign, “Writing history together”, created with brand management agency Tvist, was nominated in the following categories:

  • Filmed ads – long
  • Campaign
  • Events

A dedicated interface was created on Landsbankinn’s website where the public could send their handwritten signatures to the national team. The autographs then featured in online ads, on social media and billboards around the country. Large screens, on which guests could also sign their names, were also set up at popular sporting events. As a symbol of support, these screens were then sent to the team in Switzerland for the finals.

Our aim was to create interest and excitement for the Euro Cup on Switzerland. We think we succeeded and are both thankful and happy that so many participated in supporting our team.”

Landsbankinn is a proud sponsor of the Icelandic Football Association and supports all youth national teams, the A-level men's and women's teams and the development of Icelandic football country-wide.

The Lúðurinn awards will be presented at a formal ceremony in Háskólabíó on 6 March.
