Reyk­javík Cul­ture Night in Lands­bankinn, Aus­turstræti 11

Reykjavík Culture Night will be celebrated in the city centre on Saturday, 24 Augustthis year. Landsbankinn has been a pillar of Reykjavík Culture Night since its inception and, as usual, invites visitors to enjoy several events at its Austurstræti 11 branch.

13:00 and 14:00 - Art tour

Art historian Aðalsteinn Ingólfsson guides visitors on a tour of art housed in the Bank. The tour has been one of the most popular features of the Bank’s Culture Night programme for several years.

15:00 - Aunt Sophie and robber Jonathan

Aunt Sophie and robber Jonathan from When the Robbers Came to Cardemom Town discuss life and give out some handy advice on how to maintain order in a good robbers’ den.

16:00 - Una Torfa

Una Torfa released her first song earlier this year and has really charmed Iceland with her beautiful and personal lyrics, her voice and new album Flækt og týnd og einmana.

17:00 - Emmsjé Gauti

Everyone knows Emmsé Gauti. Gauti drops by and performs some of his hits - possibly even some new material.

Landsbankinn maintains low impact rating in Sustainalytics’ ESG risk rating

Landsbankinn has received an updated ESG risk rating from Sustainalytics, maintaining its negligible risk position with a rating of 8.5 on a scale to 100. This means that Sustainalytics considers the Bank at negligible risk of experiencing material financial impacts from environmental, social and governance factors (ESG).

Payment card bills now issued by Rapyd Europe, not Valitor

Economic forecast for 2023-2025: Slower rhythm succeeds rapid turnaround

A new macroeconomic forecast from Landsbankinn Economic Research expects to see 3.2% economic growth in 2023 and is considerably more optimistic than the department’s forecast from October 2022. One of the main reasons for optimism is the more positive outlook in the travel sector.
