The panel of judges of the Pride Parade Fund of Reykjavík Pride and Landsbankinn have awarded grants to nine entries in this year’s Pride Parade.
The highest grant was awarded to Q - Queer Student Association. The judges found their concept to be innovative and the message strong. The grants amount to between ISK 50,000-300,000, with ISK 1.5 million awarded from the Fund each year.
The following events receive grants from the 2024 Pride Parade Fund:
- Bangsafélagið / RVK Bear
- Happy Pinoys
- The Queer Community Centre of S78 and Tjörnin
- Queer Families
- I walk for those that couldn’t
- Öðruvísi íþróttir / Alternative sports
- Q - Queer Student Association
- National queer organisation Samtökin '78
- Trans Iceland
Reykjavík Pride is celebrated 6-11 August and culminates in the Pride Parade. The Parade takes place on Saturday, 10 August, and starts at Hallgrímskirkja church at 14:00. Landsbankinn has been a proud supporter of Reykjavík Pride for several years.

Landsbankinn’s net after-tax profit during the first nine months of 2026 was ISK 33.1 billion, compared with ISK 29.5 billion for the same period of 2025. Net profit in the third quarter was ISK 11.1 billion. Return on equity (ROE) was 13.3% compared with 12.2% for the same period the previous year.

Landsbankinn wishes to draw customers’ attention to an investigation by the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police, which revealed that over 300 young people have used an iPhone VPN profile called “Island Surge VPN”.

Styrkás hf. has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in Malbikstöðin ehf. and the company’s sites at Esjumelar. Landsbankinn Corporate Finance acted as advisor to Styrkás in the transaction.
