Here’s how to apply for a card
Children aged 9 to 18 can get a card with the consent of their legal guardians. Guardians can set up a Vasapeningar card in the app at any time. You can use your electronic ID to set up other cards such as debit cards or prepaid cards for people under 18 at your nearest branch.
Simpler pocket money
Vasapeningar is a prepaid card for customers aged 9 to 18. You can apply for the card in the app and have it sent to your home. When the child is the card holder, the parents are the owners. Parents thus have an overview of card use in the app and can set text message alarms, for example when transactions are made. This is a convenient way to maintain an overview of your child’s allowance. Your child can always see the status of the card in the app or by using the QR code on the back of the card.

Suitable for those who want to collect Aukakrónur, prefer an inexpensive payment card and rarely travel abroad, thereby requiring only basic travel insurance.

All card details are available in the app. There you can monitor the status of your card and incoming payments, freeze your card and copy your card details, e.g. when shopping online. You can also change your card’s withdrawal limit in the app and split credit card bills.
