• You can log in to the app using electronic ID, the Auðkenni app or biometrics (fingerprint or face ID).
• Please be aware that all persons authorised to access your device with biometrics will be able to use the app if you activate this login method.

The Auðkenni app can be used anywhere in the world regardless of phone companies, with both Icelandic and other phone numbers. You can activate electronic ID using self-service methods in the Auðkenni app. For that to work, you need to:

• Be 18 years old
• Have a smart device that is NFC enabled
• Have a valid Icelandic passport

If you don’t meet these requirements or would prefer to get our assistance, you’re welcome to visit us. Please make an appointment at a local branch and remember to bring valid ID. You can also get help at other Auðkenni registration centres.

Landsbankinn's security system provides you with maximum safety, enhances the user experience and decreases the likelihood of fraud and other misuse. The security system learns to recognise user behaviour and asks for confirmation of identity, for example, in the form of a security question or phone call from the system, in the case of unusual transactions. As a rule, the user is unaware of the system's workings.

Customers from 9 years up can get access to both online banking and Landsbankinn’s app. Access can be applied for at any Landsbankinn branch, provided the application is signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Customers who have turned 13 can create access to the app using self-service solutions and electronic ID or the Auðkenni app for identification purposes.

Landsbankinn’s app is free of charge. Other fees are in accordance with Landsbankinn’s tariff.
