Morn­ing meet­ing to present Lands­bankinn’s new eco­nom­ic fore­cast for 2024-2027

We are hosting a morning meeting to mark the publication of a new economic forecast by Landsbankinn in Harpa on Tuesday, 15 October.

Una Jónsdóttir, Chief Economist with Landsbankinn, presents a new economic forecast leading up to and including the year 2027 and James Ashley, economist with Goldman Sachs, discusses economic development and the market outlook. The meeting closes with a panel on opportunities in the export sector.

The meeting will be held in Silfurberg, Harpa on Tuesday 15 October at 8:30-9:45. Doors open at 8:00 and a light breakfast will be served.

James Ashley, economist and Head of the EMEA and Asia Strategic Advisory Solutions team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, addresses the meeting.

James has extensive knowledge and insight into the global economic environment and is a sought-after speaker and commentator. He has over 20 years of experience of work in finance. Before joining Goldman Sachs, James worked at Barclays Capital and was Chief European Economist at RBC Capital Markets.

S&P Global Ratings has today announced an upgrade of Landsbankinn’s long-term credit rating from BBB+ to A-. This is the highest the Bank’s credit rating has been since 2014, when S&P started issuing ratings for the Bank.
