Holtaskóli has emerged as the winner of Skólahreysti 2025 and is the Skólahreysti champion! The exciting final competition between 12 schools took place before a packed auditorium at the sports hall Varmá in Mosfellsbær, Saturday 24 May.
The winning team from Holtaskóli was comprised of Svanur Bergvins Guðmundsson, Auður Eyfjörð Ingvarsdóttir, Benedikt Árni Hermannsson and Elva Björg Ragnarsson.
The silver medalists from Langholtsskóli were Pétur Húnfjörð Davíðsson, Bryndís Óskarsdóttir, Hildur Hekla Einarsdóttir and Karl Sören Theodórsson.
The team from Flóaskóli - Kristófer Máni Andrason, Magnea Bragadóttir, Karólína Þórbergsdóttir and Freyr Sturluson - took bronze.
During the competition, the regrettable mistake was made that Flóaskóli’s times for in speed-track were entered incorrectly, showing Flóaskóli in fourth place. This is hereby corrected: Flóaskóli came in third with 50 points and Varmahlíðarskóli was fourth with 49 points, only one point behind Flóaskóli.
Thanks to our fantastic competitors
Other schools that competed in the finals this year were Grunnskóli Húnaþings vestra, Hraunvallaskóli, Lágafellsskóli, Heiðarskóli, Árbæjarskóli, Réttarholtsskóli, Grunnskólinn í Thorlákshöfn and Lundarskóli.
The atmosphere was electric at Skólahreysti 2025. Landsbankinn is the main sponsor Skólahreysti and we extend our thanks to the organisers, the audience, the participants and their schools for a great competition!
