We encourage customers to use Landsbankinn’s app, online banking and ATMs as much as possible. A great deal of banking business can be tended to through these channels, quickly and easily.

Lockdown extends to the Bank’s Corporate Banking Services and Vehicle & Equipment Financing.

Even though our branches are closed, we are as before ready to help. You can contact us by phone, +354 410 4000, chat with us online or email your query. You can also request a consultation call through landsbankinn.is. We’ll call at a time of your choosing. Please note that calls to the Bank may be recorded.

  • Almost all banking business can be tended to through Landsbankinn’s app, online banking and the Bank’s website.
  • The Customer Service Centre is open on weekdays from 9-16.
  • Web chat is open weekdays from 9-17.
  • To request a consultation call, fill out the form on landsbankinn.is or contact the Customer Service Centre.
  • The Customer Service Centre can be reached by calling +354 410 4000, by email to landsbankinn@landsbankinn.is or through the chat function on the Bank’s website.
  • We encourage customers who need assistance or are unused to electronic solutions to contact the Customer Service Centre, tel. +354 410 4000.
  • Corporate customers can contact the Corporate Service Centre by calling +354 410 5000 or emailing fyrirtaeki@landsbankinn.
  • Most Landsbankinn’s ATMs are accessible around the clock. The location and distance to the nearest ATM is available in Landsbankinn’s app. ATMs have both deposit and withdrawal functions, and can be used to pay bills, amongst other things.

Icelandic Economic Weekly: 18 January 2021

The CBI published a report on the foreign exchange market, exchange rate developments, and international reserves in 2020. The Government Debt Management Agency published its monthly Market Information report. S&P Global Ratings issued a credit rating for Landsbankinn’s covered bonds. Registered unemployment was 12.1% in December, 1.4 pp of that figure due to part-time claims.

Icelandic Economic Weekly: 11 January 2021

The CPI based on prices in December increased by 0.20% MoM, bringing the headline number to 3.6%. The CBI released its quarterly Economic Indicators report. The GDM released an annual prospect for 2021, quarterly prospect for Q1 2021, and a Medium-Term Debt Management Strategy for the period 2021-2025. The CBI will continue its regular programme of foreign currency sales in January. Icelandair released traffic data for December.

The Icelandic króna depreciated in 2020

The Icelandic króna depreciated somewhat against the currencies of main trading countries last year. The euro was 14.9% dearer at year-end 2020 than at the beginning of the year, the US dollar 5.0% and the British pound 8.9% dearer.
