Consumer price index

Statistics Iceland publishes the consumer price index (CPI) at the end of each month based on that month's prices. The CPI is not immediately calculated for inflation-indexation, there is a 2-month delay. The CPI is the most common measurement of inflation. Inflation is generally defined as the 12-month change in the CPI.
