Guðrún and Hildur new de­part­ment heads at Lands­bankinn

Guðrún S. Ólafsdóttir and Hildur Sveinsdóttir have accepted new positions as department heads in Landsbankinn’s Personal Banking division. Both women possess a great deal of experience of work in financial markets.

Guðrún will be Head of the Capital Region Branch Cluster. Landsbankinn operates six branches in the capital region and Guðrún will direct responsible and robust growth, as well as ensure collaboration and uniformity in their activities. The Branch Cluster incorporates vehicle and equipment financing for retail customers.

Guðrún has worked for Landsbankinn since 1984. She was Branch Manager in 2001-2014, then becoming Regional Manager. Guðrún holds a master’s degree in international finance and banking from Bifröst University.

Hildur Sveinsdóttir will be Head of Retail Business Solutions. The unit is responsible for ensuring top-notch service quality for retail customers, managing communication channels and overseeing benefit systems, sale and advisory service. The unit oversees changes to services, cash service and training of front-line employees.

Hildur worked in the Bank’s Marketing & PR department from 2007 to 2018 when she became Head of Customer Relationship Management in the Personal Banking Division. She was trademark manager for Clarins Iceland in 2005-2007. Hildur holds a B.Sc. degree in business administration from the University of Reykjavík.

Landsbankinn maintains low impact rating in Sustainalytics’ ESG risk rating

Landsbankinn has received an updated ESG risk rating from Sustainalytics, maintaining its negligible risk position with a rating of 8.5 on a scale to 100. This means that Sustainalytics considers the Bank at negligible risk of experiencing material financial impacts from environmental, social and governance factors (ESG).

Simple to share access to finances in the app

You can now use Landsbankinn’s app to grant others view access to your finances or authority to carry out various transactions on your behalf. Cancelling access authorisations is also easy.

Payment card bills now issued by Rapyd Europe, not Valitor

Economic forecast for 2023-2025: Slower rhythm succeeds rapid turnaround

A new macroeconomic forecast from Landsbankinn Economic Research expects to see 3.2% economic growth in 2023 and is considerably more optimistic than the department’s forecast from October 2022. One of the main reasons for optimism is the more positive outlook in the travel sector.
