The website was designed and programmed in-house in its entirety. Work was based on use of the older website and detailed needs analysis.
Much has been done to simplify the new interface, making it more accessible, clearer and approachable than its predecessor.

Landsbankinn’s net after-tax profit during the first nine months of 2026 was ISK 33.1 billion, compared with ISK 29.5 billion for the same period of 2025. Net profit in the third quarter was ISK 11.1 billion. Return on equity (ROE) was 13.3% compared with 12.2% for the same period the previous year.

Landsbankinn wishes to draw customers’ attention to an investigation by the Reykjavík Metropolitan Police, which revealed that over 300 young people have used an iPhone VPN profile called “Island Surge VPN”.

Styrkás hf. has signed an agreement to acquire all shares in Malbikstöðin ehf. and the company’s sites at Esjumelar. Landsbankinn Corporate Finance acted as advisor to Styrkás in the transaction.
