National record - one-arm dead hang
Saga Björgvinsdóttir, a student at Ísafjörður elementary, won the one-arm dead hang after 26 minutes and 31 seconds. As amazing as this result is, it is only Sara’s second best showing as she holds the national record which she set in this year’s qualifying rounds - 30 minutes and 9 seconds!
New partners
Landsbankinn is the main sponsor of Skólahreysti and has supported the competition for several years. This year marked a certain turning point, with the three sons of founders Andrés and Lára, Axel, Örn and Jökull, now joining to help manage the operation. New partners have also joined the team and going forward, increased emphasis will be placed on health and wellness in a wider sense, such as healthy eating habits. We look forward to continue the collaboration with a new and dynamic team.
To all contestants, trainers and schools - congratulations on a fantastic competition and amazing results!
