We expect the MPC to raise policy rates by 0.75 percentage points on Wednesday. The Bank’s key interest rate (seven-day term deposits) would as a result be 2.75%.

The week ahead
- We expect the MPC to raise policy rates by 0.75 percentage points on Wednesday. The Bank’s key interest rate (seven-day term deposits) would as a result be 2.75%.
- On Thursday, the Icelandic Tourist Board publishes departures from Keflavík International Airport and the Directorate of Labour releases unemployment numbers for December.
- Arion Bank (Wednesday) and Íslandsbanki (Thursday) publish financial results for 2021.
