Thórður Örlygs­son new Chief Audit Ex­ec­ut­ive of Lands­bankinn

Thórður Örlygsson has been appointed Chief Audit Executive of Landsbankinn and assumes the role in early August.

Thórður has over 20 years’ experience of work in financial markets and has led the Bank’s Compliance function as Compliance Officer in recent years. Thórður completed the degree of Cand. Juris from the University of Iceland in 1999.

Internal Audit reports directly to the Board of Directors and is part of the Bank’s internal control system. Thórður takes over as Chief Audit Executive from Kristín Baldursdóttir, who has held the position since 2009.
