Over­view of the Iceland­ic FX mar­ket

The ISK depreciated by 1.3% against the EUR and by 1.9% against the USD in October.

At the end of the month, the EUR/ISK stood at 164.2, compared to 162.1 at the end of August. Total turnover in the foreign exchange market in October was ISK 58.3bn (EUR 355m). The Central Bank's share was ISK 38,3bn (EUR 233m), 66% of total turnover.
