Thórunn Inga Ingjaldsdóttir has been hired to head the new Insurance team in the Personal Banking division at Landsbankinn as of early October.
The team will focus on integrating insurance in the Bank’s product and service provision to both retail customers and businesses.
Thórunn Inga has over 20 years of experience as an executive in the fields of sales, services and marketing. She most recently worked as managing director of sales and insurance at Vörður and was previously head of marketing and communication at Samskip, managing director of the sports department at Altis and trademark manager at Icepharma.
She has had a seat on the boards of various companies and teaches marketing in the Executive MBA course at the University of Iceland. Thórunn Inga holds a degree in business administrator and an MBA from the University of Iceland.
