Lands­bankinn’s Sus­tain­ab­il­ity For­um in Gróska on 4 Septem­ber

Landsbankinn’s Sustainability Forum 2025 will take place in Gróska on Thursday, 4 September. At the Sustainability Forum, we will explore how Icelandic companies approach sustainability, how they respond to challenges and exploit opportunities. We guarantee a varied and exciting programme along with delicious refreshments!

Doors open at 8:00 and a light breakfast will be served. The programme begins at 9:00 and concludes at 11:00. A light lunch will then be served.

Programme of the Sustainability Forum

  • Lilja Björk Einarsdóttir, CEO of Landsbankinn, opens the meeting.
  • Dr. Halldór Thorgeirsson, Chair of the Icelandic Climate Council: Clear guiding lights in uncertain times.
  • Daði Valdimarsson, CEO of Rotovia: Plastic and sustainability, can they mix?
  • Ragna Árnadóttir, CEO of Landsnet: The power transmission system - a vital national connection.
  • Helgi Rúnar Óskarsson, CEO and owner of 66°North: Cutting coats according to cloth for 99 years.

Two shorter talks presented by

  • Högni Stefán Thorgeirsson, founder and owner of Arctic Plank: Sustainable future from old resources.
  • Hrafnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, co-owner of Plantan café and bistro: Sowing seeds.

Aðalheiður Snæbjarnardóttir, Head of Sustainability at Landsbankinn, chairs the event.
