The ISK depreciated by 2.5% against the EUR and 1.1% against the USD in August. 

At the end of the month, the EUR/ISK stood at 164.0, compared to 150.9 at the end of July. Turnover in the interbank foreign exchange market was ISK 32.5bn (EUR 200m) in June. The CBI’s share of the turnover was ISK 15.6 bn (48%).
